Coal-based activated carbon firing media. This carbon will produce a rainbow patina on fired BRONZclay. The patina is unpredictable, but fairly durable. It will pickle, polish and brush off. Any scratches will mar the patina. This is not a permanent patina, but lovely while it lasts. To preserve the colors, rub the object with Claymate, Slik, Badger Balm, Carmex or a traditional jewelry wax such as Renaissance Wax.
